Business intelligence exec talks localization, optimization in 2011

As a leader in business analytics software and services, and the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market, SAS was a key booth to drop-by for many attendees walking the EXPO hall floor at NRF’s Annual Convention in New York City.

While he wasn’t busy speaking with attendees, we grabbed a few minutes with Gene Gsell, General Manager of the U.S. retail business unit for SAS and asked his views on key trends in retail and what these trends mean for the year ahead. Watch our interview with Gsell below for his take on the positive momentum that developed in 2010 and how this is translating into excitement in 2011, as well as his views on the importance of localization and optimization for consumers as we head into the new year.
