NRFtech Day 1: Open dialogue, networking and a little fun

The first day of NRFtech, held at the breathtakingly beautiful Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, began bright and early for retail CIOs. Dozens of retail IT’s most prominent executives – from companies like Yum! Brands, PetSmart, Pier 1 and Tory Burch – met this morning to discuss the most pressing issues in the industry.

After the CIO Council meeting, retail execs hit the links at the nationally-known golf course.

The chilly temperatures brought us inside for tonight’s networking reception and dinner, but the weather didn’t dampen the conversations (in fact, something tells me plenty of them are still going on around the hotel’s outdoor fire pits high on the bluffs overlooking the ocean).

On deck for Monday? Keynotes from Family Dollar and Walgreens, to name a few.
