Winding down from an unpredictable holiday season followed by NRF’s Annual Convention, retailers appeared happy to take a breather and think big-picture in February. Instead of the nuts-and-bolts resources that help retailers understand what to do right now, many of our most popular pages featured information that indicate retailers are thinking long-term. Here were the most popular pages and resources last month:
NRF information
- The homepage for the inaugural Retail Innovation & Marketing Conference in San Francisco ranks at the top of the most-popular list. Though the conference is sold out, keep tabs on what’s happening with recaps and videos of conference sessions along with photos and other inside scoop on our blog. But while those in marketing and digital retail are thinking about our Innovate conference this week, another group is think ahead to a different event: NRF’s Loss Prevention Conference & EXPO in Atlanta this June. Registration is live, many sessions have been posted, and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
- Ah, February. The month of love. No surprise, then, that NRF’s Valentine’s Day survey – along with corresponding charts – was red-hot.
- With the end of the fiscal year approaching for many, companies are looking ahead to sales reporting in 2010 and 2011. NRF’s 4-5-4 calendar, which lists recommendations for sales reporting, has been a popular resource.
- NRF’s Retail Reference Center, which allows members to post white papers or research that anyone in the community can view, took off last month with many people visiting the site to check out some of the latest posts or learn how to submit their own white paper.
- Another sign that retailers are thinking big-picture: the popularity of the landing page for Retail Horizons, a benchmarking report with some incredible insights on how retailers weathered the recession and – you guessed it – how they’re thinking ahead for 2010.
