The NRF Foundation and American Express have released the list of the top ten retailers for customer service. The list is based on a survey of more than 8,000 American shoppers, conducted by BIGresearch.
Eleven companies are on the list, as the #10 retailer was a tie. In order, the companies are:
1: L.L. Bean
2: Overstock.com
3: Zappos.com
4: Amazon.com
5: QVC
6: Coldwater Creek
7: HSN
8: Lands’ End
9: JCPenney
10 (tie): Kohl’s
10 (tie): Nordstrom

I know overstock is amazing and HSN and QVC have been very good on customer service. I have no experience with Kohl’s or JCpenney.. but I do think that Sears should be on the list.
I hope you are joking. My experience is that Sears customer service in recent years has become the absolute worst of any retailer with whom I do business. That’s a real shame too, because for many, many years Sears worked hard and well to establish a well deserved excellent reputation. Now, when they fall down on the job, they don’t even respond to customer pleas for help. Absolutely atrocious!
